Pretty fun to read even in class!

I had to read this classic a few years ago as part of a class! A lot of people really struggle with classical literature and translated, ancient poetry, but Beowulf was honestly a really fun read. It reads just like if it was relayed to you by a bard or storyteller. I highly recommend what I did, which was listen to an audio book cover as I read it because the audio book readers do better at keeping a consistent pace and following patterns so it made it really easy to get into it poetically!
Beowulf is a great way to get a peek into Germanic cultural systems and their way of life. Despite the poem being Christianized, it's pretty easy to figure out what it might've been originally as you're reading!
